The first look of the Joker sequel has been revealed by Lady gaga on her Twitter account
The first image of Lady Gaga in her reported role as Harley Quinn in Joker 2 (Joker: Folie à Deux) along with Joaquin Phoenix has been released. The film’s director, Todd Phillips, co-wrote the script with Scott Silver and seems to be focusing on the one-sided romance between the Joker and Harley Quinn, which has been a key part of the character’s origin story since she was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm for Batman: The Animated Series 30 years ago. However, more recent interpretations of the character have moved away from this dynamic.
It has also been reported that the new film will be a musical, and Phillips may be drawing inspiration from Martin Scorsese’s doomed musical romance, New York. The movie is a DC Elseworlds release and will not be part of the new DC Universe continuity. It is currently in production and scheduled to be released in theaters on October 4, 2024.
